Don't get me wrong. I've laughed at 99% of these videos. I can't wait to show them to my hubby. I just think that since there are at least 8 different types of seizures it seems that the only ones that most of the healthcare employees that I work with in the ER are grandmal seizures. P.S. I think your videos are great in of themselves and that in certain videos the language doesn't need to make it funnier.

I have been so laughing at these videos which have lightened my mood about my own profession. However let me caution you that I have found that both RN and RRT have very limited understanding of the various types of seizures and the different lobes that they originate from. Let's also remember that the mentally ill are often overlooked as not being sick or needing our help when that is quite the contrary. As an RRT-NPS with a lobular brain lesion, I have been that patient who was made fun of.

I'm also pretty certain the doctor is experienced and knowledgeable enough to know that there are no indications, given the circumstance, that the patient's life is threatened.

I have worked in an ER and there are hundreds of patients that come in saying the same thing. It is ridiculous for anyone with real seizure disorders to be offended. These are a different group of people, drug seekers, and Dr.'s are well aware that they are faking because they are repeat offenders. Anyone who has worked in an Emergency room certainly understands this video!

I get the jokes and it's really funny, but aren't benzodiazepines used for acute seizure treatment? I think ativan is used and not xanax but they're essentially the same except for the shorter half-life for xanax.

ABSolutely what it is like for ER staff to encounter patients. Healthcare workers await the vaccine for stupidity, until then, we have to remember that mercy killing is illegal~~~so remember when YOU are waiting in the ER, it is these kind of people that are delaying care to truly ill patients.
